Attendance & Student Records Policy
This policy explains how class attendance and linked student records are handled on the platform.

Attendance records are part of El Barrio's school tooling and are linked to a specific enrollment, occurrence date, organisation, and user.
They are operational records, not public profile content, and are visible only to the relevant student, school, and authorised platform operators.
Who Can Mark or View Attendance
School Access
Only authorised school users with attendance permissions should create or update attendance records.
Student Visibility
Students may view attendance context attached to their own enrollments and personal course pages where the product exposes that information.
Record Integrity & Retention
Integrity
Attendance records may be retained to resolve school disputes, verify participation, support support-case review, and maintain operational history.
Corrections
If an attendance record is inaccurate, the relevant school should correct it promptly or contact El Barrio support where the issue cannot be handled through the normal workflow.
